What's Involved
Survey and risk assessment
We establish whether fumigation is genuinely warranted, what has to be sealed, who needs to vacate and for how long, and what notifications are required. Not every infestation needs this, and we will tell you if it does not.
Preparation and sealing
The space is sealed, and a full site plan agreed covering access control, signage, and the exclusion of people and animals for the duration.
Controlled application
Fumigant or ULV fogging applied at a controlled concentration for a set exposure period, reaching cavities, contents and voids uniformly.
Ventilation and clearance
Forced ventilation followed by monitored gas clearance testing. The space is only released once readings confirm it is safe to re-enter, and you receive written certification.
Signs You Have a Problem
- Infestation across multiple rooms or units. Where an infestation has spread beyond individual rooms, treating them one at a time allows it to move back and forth.
- Repeated treatment failure. Where conventional treatment has been carried out properly more than once and the problem keeps returning, contents or voids are usually harbouring it.
- Contaminated stock or contents. Infested stored product, imported goods, furniture or archives, where the contents themselves have to be treated rather than the building.
- Regulatory or import requirement. Where treatment and certification is required for compliance, insurance or import and export purposes.

Common Questions
How long do we need to stay out of the property?
It depends on the treatment, the size of the space and how quickly it ventilates, but typically 24 to 48 hours from sealing to clearance. We confirm exact timings before you commit to anything.
Is fumigation safe?
When carried out correctly, yes. It is tightly controlled work: the space is sealed and access-controlled throughout, and it is only released after monitored clearance testing confirms safe readings. That testing is not optional and we certify it in writing.
Do I actually need fumigation?
Often not. It is the right answer for widespread infestations, contaminated contents and regulatory requirements, but it is expensive and disruptive. If conventional treatment would resolve your problem we will recommend that instead.
