How do I remove an attached tick safely?
Use fine-tipped tweezers or a tick removal tool, grip as close to the skin as possible, and pull steadily upward without twisting or crushing the body. Do not use heat, petroleum jelly or alcohol. Clean the site afterwards and monitor for a spreading circular rash over the following weeks.
Should I see a doctor after a tick bite?
